Robotics Vision
Robots utilize SLAM technology allowing a robot or
device to recognize 2D and 3D objects in real world
settings where lighting and placement are not
controlled. The computer vision algorithms can analyze
camera images and extract information that can be used
for various tasks such as recognizing an object,
detecting motion, or detecting skin.
Vision Performance/Features:
80-100%
recognition rate depending on the character of the
objects to recognize Works for a wide range of viewing angles, lens distortion,
imager noise, and lighting conditions
- Works even when a large section (up to 90%) of the pattern is
occluded from the view by another object
- Can simultaneously recognize multiple objects
- Can handle databases with hundreds or even thousands of
visual patterns without a significant increase in
computational requirements (the computation scales
logarithmically with the number of patterns)
